The sultry beauty of Savannah makes it a very popular wedding destination....
ethereal oak trees, dripping with Spanish moss, tales of pirates and smuggling, the intoxicating scent of jasmine and magnolia, and the cobbled streets and squares where laughter and the tinkling of cocktail glasses and can be heard emanating from historic mansions as the horse-drawn carriages clip on by.
An intimate wedding in such a home might be many a bride's dream.
Katie and Garrett were fortunate that their wedding designer, Ginger Fawcett, owned such a home.... with a modern, glamorous, old-Hollywood vibe.
With respect to the climate, gorgeous tropical leaves and pampas grass were the ceremony arch and decor......and touches of art-deco featured with a black cake, black drapes and an abundance of cascading white orchids.
Drinks by the fire-pit under a kumquat tree, and an elaborate poolside dinner by candlelight, made every guest feel like a celebrity .....and, of course, no Savannah wedding is complete without a kiss under the Spanish moss. As a Savannah Wedding Photographer, this beautiful little city certainly helps make my job a little easier! x
